Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Cooklook, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use personal information and is incorporated by reference where applicable.

Description of Service

Cooklook provides a recipe management platform that allows you to import, organize, edit, and version control your recipes, use optional AI-assisted features, and share recipes by link when you choose. We offer both free and paid subscription tiers. The mobile app may include features such as an iOS share extension to start imports from other apps.

User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You may not share your account credentials with others
  • You may permanently delete your account as described in the "Account deletion" section below

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Transmit malicious code or viruses
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Use the service to spam or harass others

Content Ownership

You retain all rights to the recipes and content you upload to Cooklook. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

Subscription & Payments

Free Tier

The free tier currently includes limited recipe imports (up to five imports), limited AI substitution requests, and limited AI chat messages, as enforced in the product. You may keep and edit recipes you already have; limits apply to usage such as new imports and certain AI features. We reserve the right to modify free tier limits with reasonable notice.

Pro subscription (web and mobile)

  • Web: Paid plans are billed through Stripe (monthly or annual, in advance). Manage or cancel from your Cooklook account on the website as provided in the product.
  • iOS: Paid plans purchased in the Cooklook app are billed as in-app purchasesthrough your Apple ID. Those transactions are subject to Apple's applicable terms, payment rules, and refund policies. Subscription management and cancellation for App Store purchases are done through your Apple ID subscription settings (for example, Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel at any time; access generally continues until the end of the paid period
  • Except where required by law or platform rules, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods
  • We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice

Account deletion

You may permanently delete your Cooklook account at any time. This is a full deletion flow—not merely disabling your profile. In the mobile app, open the Profile tab and use Delete account, then confirm. On the website, delete your account while signed in from your Account page. Account deletion removes your account and associated data as described in the in-product confirmation and our Privacy Policy. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription—you should also cancel in Apple's subscription settings if you no longer want to be charged.

Cancellation & Termination

You may cancel a paid subscription as described above without deleting your account. Your paid access will generally continue until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to the service.

Data & Backups

While we perform regular backups, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content. We recommend regularly exporting your recipes.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation. Recipe accuracy is the responsibility of the original source and the user. AI-generated suggestions, categorization, or imported content may be incorrect—you should verify important information (for example, allergens or safe cooking instructions) yourself.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cooklook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
